Reclaiming Our Voices

A Black History Month Panel on the Transatlantic Black Experience

Reclaiming Our Voices

This Black History Month, join us for a transformative multigenerational panel discussion that brings together Black voices from across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and the United States of America to explore and celebrate the rich and varied tapestry of the transatlantic Black experience.

"Reclaiming Our Voices" is more than a conversation—it's an invitation to reflect, recognise, and reclaim the multiple narratives that shape our identities. Through an engaging and heartfelt dialogue, our panellists will share their personal stories and lived experiences, illuminating the challenges and triumphs that come with being Black across different continents. This discussion will offer a unique opportunity to discover the common threads that unite us while also honouring the diversity that makes our community so vibrant and resilient.

Event Purposes
Empowerment: Empower Black attendees to reclaim their voices and narratives, embracing their unique identities while recognising their place within a global Black community.

Recognition: Encourage attendees who identify as Black to see themselves in the lived experiences of their peers across the Atlantic, fostering a sense of connection, belonging, and unity.

Best Practices: Recommend effective practices for organisations and individuals to recognise, acknowledge, and support the multitude of Black experiences in the workplace. Our discussion will provide actionable insights on how to create truly inclusive environments where every voice is heard and valued.

Whether you are an ally, an advocate, or someone who wants to deepen your understanding, this panel is a space for education, empathy, and empowerment. Come prepared to listen, learn, and engage in a conversation that challenges, inspires, and ultimately unites us in our shared commitment to reclaim our voices and narratives.
